if your trying your first grind man, try something like a soul or a mizou, you get a lot more feeling for the skate if you start there.

If your really want to front side though theres nothing to it, roll up, turn about 90 degrees and space your feet out about shoulder width with your feet pointing slightly out, balance your weight underneath you (pretend your going to try sitting on a chair, you should get the same effect) and remeber hit it with speed. That doesn't sound like a good idea but if you roll up slow you might not slide and end up getting chalked and thrown off. you don't have to speed up to it but hit it at a speed you feel comfortable with.

Now get out there and try it lol, hope this helped.

edit: i forgot to mention you'll wanna approach your ledge/rail on a slight angle maybe somewhat like this

The first grind I learned was Soul, I thought it was easier because ther where nothing about turning 90 or 180 degrees just a little jump and place your feet. Simple is better! and yes try to stall the rail a few times and a thing that I do is when i'm in school and having cigarret-breaks just jump on a random curb, placing your feet like the grind until it seems natural...

Don't know if you are satisfied with this little tip....

Cheers

Dan
